Overlooking the Pacific and set in the heart of Art Deco Napier, Art Deco Masonic Hotel is a boutique icon, rich in character, history, and timeless style. Established on this site in 1861, the hotel has evolved through fire, earthquakes, and transformation to become one of Napier’s most cherished landmarks. The current Art Deco building, constructed in 1932 after the devastating 1931 Hawke’s Bay earthquake, was designed by W. J. Prowse and retains the elegant symmetry and craftsmanship of the era.
